FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: WHAT MAKES YOUr work DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS' WORK?
A: I try and make things as comfortable and fun as possible. I understand that not all of us are comfortable posing in front of a big camera. I try and think what I would like most out of a session and really focus on capturing all the right angels and giving as much direction as needed to make you look your best in your photos. I love taking a combination of candid and posed photos. I try to use natural lighting as often as possible because I feel natural light is thee most flattering form of light there is. My sessions are candid & fun and I welcome any ideas along the way.
Q: HOW WILL MY WEDDING IMAGES BE DELIVERED?
A: Within 16 to 20 weeks of your wedding, I will provide you with a link to an online gallery. This link will be available for 90 days to pass along to anyone you wish to have access to see and download your wedding photos. I will also send you a USB with your wedding gallery on it. I highly recommend placing a copy of your gallery on your computer and saving the usb as a back up.
Q: WILL WE GET THE print release TO OUR PHOTOS AFTER OUR WEDDING?
A: Yes! Upon receiving your images, you will also get a print release so you can get your photos printed at your own leisure. I highly recommend mpix.
Q: What EXPERIENCE do you have?
A: I have taken several college courses on photo journalism, black and white photography, color photography, studio photography and I have photographed several hundred weddings over the last 22 years.
Q: HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR DATE?
A: Send me an email at erin@erinmcolephotography.com, and I can give you more information on this. A 20% deposit and signed contract is required in order to get your wedding day on the calendar. Two weeks prior to your wedding, the remainder of the balance is due.
Q: Do you have Liability insurance?
A: Yes, I most certainly do. I would be weary of any photographer that is not fully licensed and insured. If your venue requires a copy of my insurance I will gladly provide this.
Q: WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE and do you have back up?
A: I use all Nikon equipment. All of my pieces have a backup in the rare event that anything should occur to one of my cameras or lenses.
Q: WHAT happens if you get sick on our wedding day?
A: All though this has never happened in the 22 years I have been photographing weddings and I promise to be 100% committed to your wedding, I also make sure I plan ahead in case of an emergency. I belong to a group of photographers in the Pennsylvania area that is an excellent resource and we have access to a long list of emergency back up photographers.
