Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever. It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.

Welcome,

Erin M Cole Photography

I am so glad you stopped by! On your wedding day you will be spending a lot of time with your photographer, it is so, so important that you not only like them but that you actually like them enough to invite them to your wedding. So let me tell you a bit about myself.

I grew up on a horse farm in North Central Pennsylvania and all though I live in Williamsport at the moment, I will always be a country girl at heart. I truly believe that if you put God first in your life everything else will fall into place. The first year I started my photography business, I met my husband, he was the best man with the most amazing blue eyes and gorgeous smile, at one of the first few weddings I photographed. Not many people get to photograph their soulmate on the day they meet, but I guess I am lucky. We now have 4 beautiful children and have been married 18 years. I love staying active, which is good because I also love eating out and trying new foods. I am not ashamed to admit that I once took a road trip with my husband to Rhode Island just because we heard of an amazing fried chicken place there. I love watching the office over and over again and all things Masterpiece classic. I love traveling to tropical places in the winter with my husband, exploring different states with friends, and vacationing in Fenwick Island, DE with my husband and kids. I’m a hopeless romantic, a dreamer, a deep thinker, and a deep feeler.

I started photographing weddings in 2001 using a 35 mm film Minolta camera. I still remember and probable even dream about the anxiety of switching film trying not to miss important ceremony details. I do sometimes miss the anticipation of not knowing what kind of magic was created until the film was developed but I will gladly trade that for modern technology and having more control with editing.

I attended LCCC in Luzerne county and fell in love with true black and white photography. I absolutely loved spending hours in the dark room developing my own prints. I took courses in photojournalism, color photography, as well as studio lighting photography. My photographic style reflects my original love for film. My editing has a matte look to it with deep rich colors and I add a little bit of darker shadows just to make my heart beat faster.

I strive to be a calming presence on your big day and whether an intimate elopement or an big elegant celebration, I give each wedding the same attention. My goal is to capture authentic emotions and transforming them into beautiful images you can treasure forever.

Are we a good fit?

I can't wait to chat with you!
